Ohio Spiderwort is a 2' to 3' tall native perennial with arching grass-like leaves. The plant features clusters of showy three-petaled 1" wide blue to lavender flowers. Ohio Spiderwort is a spring and early summer flowering plant that grows well in dry or moist soils and prefers partial shade, but will grow well in full sun. It is commonly found in wet woods, woodland edges, prairies, and along roadsides. It is a long blooming plant and is excellent for borders, native plant gardens, moist woodland gardens, and in wildflower meadows. Ohio Spiderwort is often included in conservation mixes due to its wildlife food and habitat value.
