Sweet Joe-Pye Weed is a stately 5' to 7' tall native perennial most often found in low moist ground, wet meadows, and along streams. This plant features long leaves in whorls of 3 or 4 and large showy domed shaped heads of small mauve pink flowers. Sweet Joe-Pye Weed attracts hoards of butterflies, but the larger attribute is the architectural value of the showy height of the plant in a variety of garden settings. Flowers are long lasting and the plant is easy to establish.
