Spotted Beebalm is a 1' to 3' tall native perennial mint featuring dense spikes of purple spotted white, yellow or pink tubular flowers in whorls with each whorl subtended by whorls of purple-tinged bracts. It is easily established from seed and grows best in dry to medium soils in full sun sites. Spotted Beebalm is used in native plant gardens, herb gardens, perennial borders, and in wildflower meadows. It attracts butterflies and other pollinators. The crushed leaves make a good tea and Native Americans used the plant to treat colds, fevers, and a host of other ailments.
