Broomsedge is a 2' to 4' tall native perennial warm season clump grass that is usually an indicator of poor dry soils or over grazing, and is commonly found in disturbed areas, open fields, fallow fields, roadsides, and open woods. It is a summer flowering grass that grows best in well drained dry to moist sites in full sun or partial shade and is an indicator of need for lime. It is an attractive garden plant and will grow in soils too poor for other species. It is used to control erosion and is commonly included in wildlife habitat and conservation seed mixes. It is valued for cover and nesting sites for ground nesting birds and small mammals.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
