Shallow Sedge is a 2' to 3' tall native perennial member of the sedge family that may stay green most of the summer. This plant flowers in the spring and grows best in moist to wet soils and will perform well in full sun or partial shade. Sallow Sedge features one or more flowering stems with 1 to 4 bristly seed heads. It has a native distribution over the central and eastern US and is most commonly found at the edges of swamps, ponds, streams, wet meadows, and ditches. Shallow Sedge performs well in rain gardens, water features, retention areas, and wetland establishment sites. It is an important food source for waterfowl.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
