Tall Dropseed is a 2' to 3' tall native perennial warm season bunch grass usually growing in small tuffs. It is highly drought tolerant, prefers dry clayey soils, and does well in areas that are alternating wet and dry. This plant is often much more prevalent in native grasslands than reported due to the unnoticed slender tuffs and seed heads that remain included in the leaf sheaths to a considerable extent. This is an excellent wildlife plant. Seeds are slowly distributed due to inclusion in upper sheaths and are widely used by quail and turkey. It is reportedly a favorite food for rabbits.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
