From an early age his father, Randy, shared and instilled in him a deep love for all things wild. More than 30 years ago, John and Randy began transitioning their beef cattle, tobacco, and hay operation into native seed production. Since then, John has personally overseen every aspect of Roundstone’s operations and growth. He attended Western Kentucky University with a focus in Agriculture and now lives with his wife and children on their home farm along Roundstone Creek. Randy Seymour Co-Owner | Co-Founder Randy Seymour gained an early love of growing things from his mother, who took him to the woods and fields to show him wildflowers. After a successful entrepreneurial career, he merged his business talents with his love of plants and a growing knowledge of botanical science to form Roundstone Native Seed with his son John. As a co-founder and co-owner of the company, Randy helps guide the direction and policies of the company, but his greatest contribution is his ongoing botanical research into native plants. Randy is the author of Wildflowers of Mammoth Cave National Park and several peer-reviewed studies on native flora and their environs. He lives on Riders Mill Farms on Roundstone Creek with his wife Donna and his children and grandchildren--all mostly within hollering distance. Carlie Seymour Greenhouse | Operations | Production Carlie Seymour has been at Roundstone since 2014. She grew up on Roundstone’s farm here in Upton, KY. She graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture/Horticulture, and a minor in Business Administration. Her responsibilities at Roundstone include managing all greenhouses, assisting with production planting, and record keeping. Carson Seymour Farm | Production | Fabrication Carson Seymour started at Roundstone Native Seed in 2016. He was raised on Roundstone’s Farm. He graduated from South Central Kentucky Technical College with an associate degree in Welding Technologies. His day to day at Roundstone includes maintenance, production planting, harvesting, fabrication, welding, and turnkey installations. Kenetha Stanton HR Manager | Accounting | Customer Service Kenetha Stanton has been at Roundstone since 2008. Raised on a farm, Kenetha has experience with the production side of Roundstone and she worked in office management at Coca-Cola for 20 years prior to joining us. She divides her time between customer service, bookkeeping, banking, insurance, payroll, taxes, and assistant for John. Brandon Armstrong Shipping | Receiving | Inventory Brandon has been with Roundstone since March of 2018. He started working in the White Barn or warehouse, mixing and shipping orders. In January of 2022, he was promoted to warehouse manager of the White Barn. Now he oversees all the mixing of orders as well as the incoming and outgoing shipments at Roundstone. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth, and welcomed their baby girl, Emerson, into the family in December of 2022. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing video games, and taking photographs. Kristi Highbaugh Customer Service | Sales | Invoicing Kristi joined Roundstone in 2016 after more than a decade in banking, working in customer service and accounting. She attended Elizabethtown Community College. Kristi grew up on a tobacco and beef cattle farm in Hart County, Kentucky and when she’s not at Roundstone she now operates her own beef cattle farm in Bonnieville along with her husband and two daughters. Krystal Smith Customer Service | Sales | Administration Krystal Smith works in reception, provides customer service, and serves as a sales representative and an administrative assistant. She also assists with inventory support. Krystal came to Roundstone in 2016 from Premier Restorations, where she did on-site work and later accounting and bookkeeping. She lives in Clarkson with her husband and three children. In her free time, you can find her camping or busy with her kids’ sports. Jeremy Hamlington Production | Cleaning | Inventory | Wholesale Jeremy Hamlington, a West Tennessee native, has been with Roundstone since 2012 in production management, materials control, and customer service. He has been involved with seedling plug production, specialty wildflower seed harvest, testing compliance, inventory control, and direct customer assistance. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in Wildlife and Fisheries Science. He also has experience in stream bank stabilization, prescribed fire, range assessment, and wildlife management. Zack Jewell Row Production | Irrigation | Harvest Zack joined Roundstone in February 2018 and has taken on a variety of roles since then. He began his journey in the warehouse mixing seed, later assisting on project sites, and now serves as the Production Manager, overseeing all small-scale production fields. During the winter months, Zack supports inventory management, seed conditioning, cleaning, and mixing. In his free time you can often find Zack playing disc golf or him and his wife, Logan, out in the field scouting for wildland harvest opportunities Nathan Choates Maintenance | Equipment | Facilities | Harvest Nathan is a lifelong Hart County Kentucky resident. He grew up raising tobacco and cattle on the family farm. Nathan worked from 1996 to 2016 in industrial maintenance. In 2016 he joined the Roundstone staff as the Maintenance/Shop Manager. Nathan has many duties such as maintenance of all equipment and vehicles. Seth Burnell Production | Harvest | Operations Seth is a Hart County Kentucky native. He grew up on a sawmill and a cattle farm. Seth Graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He started his career at Roundstone in 2015. Seth took the position of production/ Operations manager in 2023 where he leads day-to-day operations, and manages production plantings, maintenance, and harvesting crews. Robert Hoffman Sales | Technical Guidance | Marketing | Projects Robert, a Tennessee native, has over 20 years of experience in landscaping, grassland conservation, and restoration for private companies, NGOs, state and federal agencies. He has a B. S. in Wildlife Biology from UT-Martin and an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida. Robert joined Roundstone in 2015, as a restoration ecologist and he coordinates seed mix design, project layout, site preparation, and installation plans to help architects, landowners, and companies reach their goals. He is also the project manager and consultant for projects across the southeast. He spends most of his time outside of work with his wife and five children. Tyler Wayland Sales | Outreach | Technical Guidance Tyler was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University- Kingsville with a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness- Ranch Management. Before joining the Roundstone Team in 2023, he served as an Associate Director with the Texas Native Seeds Program—a university-based research and development program working to enable successful large-scale native plant restoration across Texas. Tyler and his wife, Brittany, have two sons, Tucker Case and Carver Reeves. Charlie Logsdon Sales | Outreach | Technical Guidance Charlie received his B.S. and M.S. in biology (emphasis on Wildlife) from Murray State University. Following graduation, he worked for 31.5 years for the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources as a wildlife biologist. During his career, he oversaw operations on several waterfowl areas, a prairie/field trial area, and the state’s first outdoor recreation area. Also, he was the state’s first elk restoration biologist involved in the re-establishment of a free-roaming elk herd in eastern Kentucky. In 1996 he received the Governor’s Land Heritage Excellence Award for prairie restoration on the West Kentucky Wildlife Management area using prescribed fire to stimulate native vegetation. He has worked a seasonal biologist for Roundstone since April 2018.
