Red Top is a 2?' to 3' tall naturalized narrow leaf perennial cool season grass. It prefers full sum and will grow well in a variety of soil moistures. It does well in low fertility, high acid and poor drainage sites. It is a good pasture and hay grass but does not perform well under close grazing.
