A 2' to 5' tall native perennial with a native distribution over nearly all of the eastern US. The common name is in reference to the exceptionally rough surface of the leaves. This plant features a variable shaped terminal panicle of bright yellow flower heads. This goldenrod prefers moist sandy or loamy soils in full sun or light shade. It is usually found in low open woods, thickets, wet sandy prairies, and moist sandy old fields. This is a widely used garden, meadow, and restoration species. Deer, rabbits, and small mammals feed on the foliage and pollinators are attracted to the bright flowers.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
