Pennsylvania Smartweed is a 2' to 5' tall native annual featuring short spikes of densely spaced small pink flowers. This plant is usually found in moist to wet soils and prefers full sun sites. Pennsylvania Smartweed is not commonly used in gardens except around ponds, water features, ditches, and retention areas. Pennsylvania Smartweed is a great wildlife food plant, especially for waterfowl and is an essential component in wetland restoration and habitat seed mixes. Ducks, geese, quail, doves, pheasants, rails, and numerous non-game and song birds eat the seed. The plants or seeds are also eaten by muskrat, raccoons, and numerous small mammals.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
