Many Leaved Bulrush is a 3' to 5' tall native perennial bulrush. It has grass-like leaves and features terminal inflorescences of large numbers of tiny spikelets crowded into dense round heads. Many Leaved Bulrush is a wetland or moist soil plant that will grow in full sun or partial shade. This plant is used widely, especially in the northern states, in wetland restoration. It is an important food and cover plant for a variety of waterfowl, shore birds, and mammals such as muskrats.
