Florida Paintbrush is a 1' to 3' tall native perennial southern wildflower featuring erect unbranching stems and terminal inflorescences of gorgeous lavender flowers. This plant prefers dry to medium moisture soils in full sun or partial shade. This is a true southern plant with a native distribution restricted to the coastal plain of South Carolina, Georgian, and the panhandle of Florida. This plant belongs to a group of plants known as chaffheads.
