Purple Prairie Clover is a 1' to 3' tall native perennial legume with a deep tap root that makes it very drought tolerant. It requires full sun and is most often found in open grasslands and fields in dry to medium soils. Purple Prairie Clover is a spring and summer flowering plant with small pink pea-like flowers starting at the base of a slender cylindrical cone and growing upward over time. This easily established legume is a must for native plant gardens, wildflower meadows, and wildlife habitat plantings. The seeds are favorites of upland game birds as well as numerous song birds. Native Americans used the plant as food, beverage, and medicine.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
