Squarrose Sedge is a 1' to 2' tall native perennial member of the sedge family. This sedge usually has a single large terminal thimble shaped bristly appearing seed spikelet. Squarrose Sedge flowers from late spring to mid-summer and prefers wet to moist soils in full sun or part shade. It is usually found in wet fields, woods, thickets, sedge meadows, and around edges of swamps and other bodies of water. The plant is used for stream bank and wetland restoration, in wet soils around water gardens, and in wet meadows. It works well in wooded areas due to its shade tolerance. Ducks, geese, rails, and other wetland birds feed on the seeds.

Prices listed are based on pure live seed weight, not bulk weight. You are only paying for viable seed.
